In the Heart of Central America: Planning a wedding or honeymoon in Honduras
Filed under: Scuba Diving, Festivals and Events, Honduras, Hotels and Accommodations, Budget Travel, Central America, Caribbean
Imagine walking down a lush green aisle to a small open-air wooden structure where billowy white curtains frame a view of a valley spread below and blueish mountains in the distance. An intimate group of family and friends has gathered to watch you say your vows on this hilltop and after the ceremony, they'll join you to celebrate as the sun sets and the lights of the village beneath you and the stars above begin to twinkle in the dark.
That fantasy, and several others, can come true in Honduras. Honduras is overlooked as a destination wedding or honeymoon spot, but the country offers just as many opportunities for romance as its Caribbean and Central American counterparts.
Whether you fancy yourself as a barefoot bride or want to go eco-chic, Honduras has a wedding locale for you. And because all-inclusive "wedding factory" resorts don't exist here, brides can take comfort in knowing that their special day will indeed be special and private.
Those looking for an adventurous honeymoon in Honduras will find plenty of activities, like zip-lining, diving, horseback riding and white-water rafting here as well. Here are three location options to get you started planning a wedding or honeymoon in Honduras.
Copan
Hacienda San Lucas is situated on a hill just outside of the town of Copan Ruin as. From the hotel's deck chairs, you can see the ruins of Copan and the town below. It's a long walk from the Hacienda into town, but owner Flavia will arrange for pick up and drop off for guests. You can also hop into a moto-taxi for the $1 ride home.

Green Day: Rock Band trailer unveiled, songs will be exportable
The MTV Games press release that landed in our inbox shortly after the trailer aired contained one particularly interesting piece of news -- unlike The Beatles: Rock Band, all of the tracks in Green Day's outing will be exportable to the core Rock Band games. In addition, all the Green Day DLC released so far for the music platform, as well as the three 21st Century Breakdown tracks that will hit this Tuesday, will be compatible with Green Day: Rock Band. No release date has been given thus far, but the presser specifies that its coming to the Wii, PS3 and 360.

Disneyland hotel workers stage walkout
Filed under: North America, United States, Hotels and Accommodations
Seems there's a little tension the land of make believe...While guests escape to Neverland, hotel staffers are escaping into the great outdoors in Disneyland.
Nearly 200 workers from the Disneyland Hotel and the Paradise Pier Hotel in Anaheim, Calif., staged a walkout on Friday to protest unfair working conditions. The housekeeping staff claims the room renovations, made earlier this year, made it more difficult to clean the rooms.
The Disneyland Hotel has 969 rooms and the Paradise Pier Hotel has 468 rooms - both hotels are located in the Downtown Disney District and include everything from pools to playgrounds.
But the fun doesn't stop there...
Last Sunday 75 workers walked out of their jobs claiming unfair workloads forcing other members of Disney staff to fill in. The Sunday walkout ended peacefully with all staffers going back to the jobs.

Brian Reynolds answers 10 Questions from the Academy
AIAS: What's your favorite part of game development?
Brian Reynolds: The last 25% of the project, when you're polishing and tuning the thing to make it perfect for release. Of course it's never actually "perfect," but the game starts to feel like a real game rather than a prototype - all the parts start working well together and you finally realize "hey now we have something I want to play!"
What game are you most jealous of?
Half Life 2 - totally wish I had meaningful skills for making games like that. It's got such an amazing combination of good writing, good technology, good level design, and just overall great craftsmanship.

James Bond Items on Offer in Pop Culture Auction
Daniel Craig's aviator sunglasses designed by Tom Ford for last year's Quantum of Solace (above) are among a collection of James Bond items in Christie's London's Vintage Film Posters and Entertainment Memorabilia auction on Nov. 24. The shades, estimated at £1,000 - £1,500, are among the more modern 007 mementos in the sale, along with a poker table chair and barstool graced by Mr. Craig's derriere in 2006's Casino Royale, estimated at £1,000 - £1,500. On the vintage front there are some key items from 1974's The Man With the Golden Gun, such as a two-piece black silk evening suit made for Roger Moore for the film, offered at £3,000 - £5,000. Also from that film are the arch villain Scaramanga's custom triggers for the golden gun itself, made in the form of cufflinks which he used to assemble the lethal weapon, estimated at £2,000 - £3,000. On offer as well are a pair of black leather of Salvatore Ferragamo dress shoes worn by Moore in 1977's The Spy Who Loved Me, signed on the inside in gold ink along with a jocular note from the actor, for £800 - £1,200.

Volkswagen begins taking orders for new Polo BlueMotion in Europe
Filed under: Diesel, MPG, Volkswagen
When Volkswagen rolled out the all new 2010 Polo last March in Geneva, the automaker also showed a revamped BlueMotion version as a concept. That updated Polo BlueMotion is now available for order in European markets. The new high-efficiency Polo is powered by a new 1.2-liter three cylinder TDI diesel that is essentially the 1.6-liter Golf engine with one cylinder lopped off the end. The diesel triple is rated at 73.8 hp, which helps contribute to the 22 percent drop in fuel consumption compared to the last Polo BlueMotion.
Like other BlueMotion models, the Polo is highly optimized for maximum efficiency including features like auto start-stop, brake energy regeneration and aerodynamic tweaks. The result is a non-hybrid car that is rated at 71.3 mpg (U.S.) on the EU combined driving cycle. That's up from 56 mpg on the old model. The CO2 emissions are down from 109 g/km to just 87 g/km.
